The Vessel (Bowspring Inspired Practice)
My belief is that we are all channels. When the body is stuck physically, emotionally or spiritually-our purpose, clarity and joy becomes stifled. An intuitive movement practice can create intimacy with our vessel once again and our innate connection to Creator and Creation.
I have studied with many teachers from varied traditions. They all have their medicine. My body at 52 wants a totally different practice then when I was 25.
I have been practicing the Bowspring method (brought through by Desi Springer and John Friend) fused with my own inner guidance for over a year now. It is a practice that honors the curves of the spine, revitalizes our fascia through isometric action and inspires increased sensitivity to our own inner radiance and light body. This practice has altered my body and the way I feel supported in my nervous system. It is totally different from a regular vinyasa class and can feel a bit awkward at first and maybe even therapeutically irritating. It requires the entirety of our awareness. With continual practice the benefits that may arrive are strength throughout, increased calm, strong glutes, lengthened belly, narrowed waist and a somatic feeling that you have your own back. Classes also include shaking, sounding and whatever else is needed for the day.
New time on the planet requires new pathways to open.
